Az előző, mókusos posztról jutott eszembe, hogy áramszünet volt egyik reggel az egyetemen és talán a városrészben, amit én ugyan átaludtam, de az oka az volt, hogy hódok rádöntöttek valamilyen vezetékre egy fát :-)
Az angoltanárnő, Paula, aki Kanadában született finn, elmondta hogy kanadai hódok lettek visszatelepítve Finnországba, miután az eredeti hódokat a múlt században kivadászták. És hogy ezek a 'kanadai' hódok mennyivel életrevalóbbak, el is szaporodtak.

Hello guys!
Probably those of you who live in Skinnarila noticed yesterday (Sunday) your icecreams been melted down in the freezer. That's due to a couple of hours' power cut caused by beavers (animals) that chopped a tree onto the wires.
At least that's what today's Etelä-Saimaa newspaper says, there is also a short online news about the issue:

I visited there not finding any clinicus evidence about the case, but some smaller gnawed tree trunks and a quite wide embankment built up by those beavers. Beavers are quite uncommon animals here in Finland and this embankment lies about half a kilometre from the university, so if some of you would like to check out the embankment, let's meet
under the walkover in between the StudentUnionHouse and the University building (in front of the YTHS)
tomorrow (Tuesday) at 4 pm.
- it will be just a shallow ramble around the embankment, an hour.
